Adrianne and Brian’s fall wedding celebration at lovely, leisurely Pine Forest Country Club was the perfect reflection of their relationship, in its beauty, ease and joy. The pair met on Match.com, had their first date at a Fort Worth pub, and got engaged after cooking dinner together one evening at Brian’s apartment. For their October nuptials, the bride wore her mother’s wedding dress, which had been handmade by Adrianne’s grandmother. Radiant in the fall day’s natural sunlight, Adrianne joined Brian for photographs on the lush, green grounds of Pine Forest Country Club. The newlyweds joined 150 friends and family members for a relaxing celebration in the club’s light-filled ballroom, surrounded by roses, hydrangeas, greenery and “a touch of peach stock,” the bride notes. “The food was delicious,” Adrianne says of the club’s renowned culinary offerings. She adds that walking down the aisle at her church ceremony, and dancing to the evening’s playlist of pop and country tunes (and especially her first dance with groom Brian) are among her most cherished memories of her Houston fall wedding. Congratulations to the newlyweds! Click here to read the rest of this post »

Modern Victorian Wedding By Grayhouse Events Atelier
When we asked bride Eryn to tell us her favorite piece of clothing in her wardrobe, she didn’t hesitate: “My Victorian-style button boots! I do historical costuming as a hobby, and you have to have the right shoes.” So it’s no surprise that for her wedding to Patrick, the couple leaned toward Victorian wedding styling, especially in their attire. What was surprising was that Eryn designed her wedding dress herself, and made it by hand. “At first, my mom was apprehensive about my intention to make my own dress,” she admits. “We had a few emotional conversations about it at the start of things–she was worried about my stress level and the time it would take. She never doubted me though, and supported me through the whole process. She was right about the time and the stress, but it was so worth it!” Groom Patrick looked properly dapper at her side, wearing his tailcoat and top hat, and a smile as big as Texas! Blue And Purple DIY Wedding At 15 Acres
When it came time for Taylor to propose to his college sweetheart, Catherine, he did what smart-and-smitten guys do in these circumstances: He enlisted the help of Catherine’s best friend. Together, the co-conspirators arranged to have Taylor waiting in an exam room at the veterinary clinic where Catherine works as a vet tech. “My coworkers came and told me that a client had requested me for a tech appointment, and that they were waiting for me in room 4,” the bride recounts. “When I went in, I was shocked to see Taylor in there, down on one knee, and a wood sign around his dog’s neck that read, ‘Will you marry my daddy?’ Little did I know that it was being filmed the whole time, and my coworkers were watching in another room!” For their fall wedding, the couple chose the beautiful natural setting of 15 Acres, a contemporary destination-style wedding venue located under an hour’s drive from Houston in Hockley, Texas. The bride planned her DIY wedding, with help from family and bridesmaids. Click here to read the rest of this post »

Vintage Butler’s Courtyard Wedding With Haute Flowers
Jaclyn and Chris’ simple yet elegant vintage wedding at picturesque League City venue Butler’s Courtyard is giving us all the feels. With divine blush and ivory florals from Haute Flowers & Events, rose-gold accents and tons of natural lighting, the pair gave an airy modern touch to their vintage wedding theme. “The exposed brick, chandeliers and vintage mirrors on site were perfect for that antique vibe I was looking for,” say the bride. And Jaclyn absolutely glowed in her diaphanous Maggie Sottero gown. Following a sweet ceremony, 100 close friends and family joined the new Mr. and Mrs. for a charming tented garden reception. As a unique personal touch to end out the night, the couple took a Star Wars-inspired exit with a lightsaber salute from guests! “Aside from all the sparkles, details and decor, marrying Chris was the absolute best moment of all.” Aww, a big congratulations to this lovely couple!
