True fact: Amy and Bryan met in elementary school and had their first date in 8th grade on Dec. 23, 2009 (they went to see “Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel”…awww). Eight years later, still completely smitten with his childhood sweetheart, Bryan proposed to Amy at Spring’s beloved Old Time Christmas Tree Farm, where he decorated one of the trees with photos from their courtship, and ornaments from their past adventures together. Their Big Sky Barn wedding, which took place, fittingly, during the holiday season, had a classic palette of navy, blush, pale blue and greenery, and was filled with personal touches, including Christmas Tree ornaments that did double duty as decor and “guestbook,” and music from the legendary Walt Disney World fireworks display (the bride and groom are big-time Disney fans). Taking full advantage of the gleaming wood surfaces and soaring windows of beautiful Big Sky Barn, the pair wed in the venue’s on-site chapel, surrounded by 175 loved ones. “I absolutely loved getting ready with my girls,” says Amy, who glowed gorgeously in a floral-applique Stella York gown from Parvani Vida. Also glowing: the bride’s words of praise for her longtime love Bryan, whom she credits with helping her keep on top of everything while planning their big day. We invite you to celebrate this lovely young couple, along with us, by scrolling through dreamy images from Civic Photos, which capture this Big Sky Barn wedding in all its warmth and wonder! Blush And Gold Wedding At Ashton Gardens
Former Texas A&M schoolmates Lauren and Rex met at a College Station bar, both there to watch Houston rapper Kirko Bangz perform. “Yes, it’s true,” the bride recounts, “nothing sets the mood more for falling in love than the sweet, romantic melodies, ‘Drank In My Cup’ and ‘Keep It Trill.'” Yet, fall in love they did, and in love they have stayed, Lauren praising Rex for “his ability to make everything in life fun,” and Rex noting “how easy everything is with her.” Rex proposed to Lauren in front of both of their families, so it’s only natural that family would play a central role in their fall 2019 blush and gold wedding at fairytale wedding setting Ashton Gardens West. From her processional down the aisle to the same music that had accompanied her mother’s own wedding processional, to the sleeve of her mother’s wedding dress that master florist Dream Bouquet used to wrap the bouquet, to the classic songs played at the reception, “The entire day was a constant reminder to us of the examples set before us by our parents, and the promises we were making to each other,” bride Lauren says. Please join us in wishing this gorgeous couple a lifetime of love! Black, White And Gold Classic Wedding At The Astorian
She adores his playful sense of humor. He admires her deep intelligence. And we are wowed by Nikki and Dalton’s beautiful, classic wedding at The Astorian, with its timeless palette of white, black and gold, captured by the always amazing Ama By Aisha. The couple’s love story started when they were introduced to each other at a volleyball scrimmage the week before starting high school together. They dated all through high school, and kept their romance going (long distance) through college. Eventually they reunited in Houston, where their relationship had a chance to fully blossom, and one unforgettable evening, Dalton asked Nikki to be his bride, after a romantic dinner date. For their fall marriage celebration, the couple kept things timeless and elegant, with a black and gold wedding palette, taking advantage of The Astorian’s “glamorous, industrial, Art Deco feel,” the bride says. “We used blacks and gold for the bridesmaids dresses, linens and table settings, paired with white florals, and lots of greenery to pull it together,” in a classic wedding evening filled with fine food from Cordua Catering, and dancing to a live band. We’re so happy to feature this gorgeous Houston couple, and their gorgeous wedding. Congratulations, Nikki & Dalton! Click here to read the rest of this post »
Blush, Gold And Greenery Wedding At The Petroleum Club
“Classy and simple” is how bride Mary describes her Petroleum Club wedding to Michael: “blush, whites, gold…and lots of greenery!” Before the couple’s downtown Houston celebration, Mary, a registered nurse, and Michael, a global accounts manager, said their vows in a Catholic church ceremony, the bride radiant in a sparkling, embellished, sweetheart-neckline gown from Pronovias. And before that, the pair had a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony in the morning, where the groom arrived at the bride’s family home bearing gifts and money, to formally ask for her hand in marriage. Their Petroleum Club wedding reception was all about FUN, from the live band to the photo-booth hijinks to the delightful donut wall (a nod to Mary’s all-time favorite treat).
