Jason met his sports-loving gal, Lauren, right out of college in 2009 when they both were working for the San Antonio Spurs. “We are both from Houston, and grew up as HUGE Rockets fans, so neither of us thought we’d ever work for the Spurs,” says Lauren. “Luckily we did and it brought us to each other,” adds Lauren. The pair hit it off immediately, and you can guess what happens next. Jason got down on one knee during their trip to Paris on the Pont des Arts bridge (aww). It wasn’t long before they started planning their romantic wedding at the Crystal Ballroom at The Rice. “We couldn’t ask for a better day,” recounts Lauren. “This is something that we say to each other often, so we thought it would be fun to include this saying in our wedding theme and details. It was used on the wedding program, napkins and koozies!” Sounds so sweet, right? Just wait ‘til you see the lovely pics from MD Turner Photography. “They were so easy to work with and really connected with Jason and I, my family and wedding party. MD Turner Photography was so much fun and made the day even more enjoyable,” adds Lauren. We couldn’t be happier for Lauren and Jason. Congrats!

And, while we’re at it, we’re gonna go ahead and let the ultra-talented Ms. Golden tell you about herself, in her own words, in this terrific little video clip—because, as Golden will explain, the wedding photographer/wedding couple relationship is all about personal connection. Erin is a physical education teacher. Peter is a petroleum engineer. How did these two “PE’s” pair up? “We met at [’80s cover band] The Molly Ringwalds’ concert in 2011. We didn’t know each other, but eventually our groups of friends bumped into each other. We started talking, exchanged numbers, and the rest is history,” recounts Erin. Four years later they traveled to Vietnam, where Peter got down on one knee on the beach with a gorgeous sunset as their backdrop. “It was beautiful,” says Erin. “After he proposed, we had a romantic dinner on the beach.” Sigh. The romance didn’t stop there—their garden-themed wedding was full of lush greenery, blooming flowers and candlelight, all of which set an incredible romantic tone. If you think that sounds lovely, just wait ’til you see all the sweet deets in photos by Christa Elyce. Congrats to the newlyweds! We couldn’t be happier for you.

Rochelle caught Danny’s eye while he was walking to the food court in the Galleria. “After walking past Rochelle, the first thing I noticed were her eyes and how stunning she is,” says Danny. “After speaking to her I realized that she is beautiful not only on the outside, but inside as well. I knew one day, no matter what, she was going to be my wife.” It wasn’t long before the pair started planning their Houston wedding—with a New Orleans touch, to pay homage to their Louisiana roots. They had the best of both worlds, thanks to Brennan’s Houston. The guests enjoyed a four-course menu, including traditional gumbo and Creole potatoes (mmm…), followed by praline favors at the end of the night. Danny’s favorite moment? “Watching my wife walk down the aisle,” he says. We couldn’t be happier for these two. Check out their lovely photos from Steve Lee Photography below. Congrats Rochelle and Danny!
One summer Haley decided to sign up for the annual Beta Fraternity River Trip with some girlfriends. The girls were ready for some New Braunfels relaxation and arrived to get on the bus. However, as it always seems with boys’ “careful” planning, there were not enough seats for everyone. Cue Daniel. In true southern gentleman-like fashion, he offered his seat to Haley. He may or may not have had some motive behind this gesture, but it sure paid off. Haley admits she was pretty impressed and started up a conversation with Daniel…a conversation that would continue for the rest of their lives. The two quickly established a favorite date-night spot, George’s Pastaria here in Houston…but little did Haley know that the spot would become even more special on February 15th, 2014. The two were talking and laughing all the way until closing time. Realizing that they were the only two left in the entire restaurant, Haley told Daniel they really should go…but he insisted they stay. Surrounded by nothing but the slowly burning table candles, Daniel got down on one knee. Unable to hold back the happiest of tears, Haley said, “YES!” Now we may or may not be shedding some happy tears, too (we totally are). Haley and Daniel were beyond excited to send out their classic cream and gold invites from Bering’s to all of their friends and loved ones to celebrate this incredible day! The wedding was just a vision—the couple’s chosen colors of Wedgewood blue and shimmering gold were the perfect statement. A huge thank you MD Turner Photography for perfectly capturing the wedding magic. Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness, Haley and Daniel. Xoxo.
