There’s a certain, special, sense-of-mystery romance that only online dating can create. Just ask recent bride Vanessa, who spoke by phone to eHarmony match Eric almost every day for THREE MONTHS before meeting him face-to-face. Luckily, their in-person meeting was just as romantic as those many, many phone calls, and almost two years to the day they first laid eyes on each other, the pair wed in front of 250 loved ones at a magnificent Madera Estates celebration. While Vanessa says that selecting her song list and making her seating chart were no piece of cake, the wedding itself was pure sweetness, done up in elegant shades of ivory and blush, Vanessa radiant in her Maggie Sottero gown from Brickhouse Bridal. But let us go ahead and let Ama Photography & Cinema’s photos tell the story of this lovely couple’s special day. Best wishes, Vanessa & Eric!
“He truly is my hero,” says Jamie of her firefighter hubby James, whom she wed in a fabulous fall affair at Hotel ZaZa, in front of 130 of the couple’s nearest and dearest. Looking stunning in her sparkling Winnie Couture gown, glamorous updo and fire-engine-red Louboutins (love!!), Jamie said her vows to handsome James—no slouch himself in his sleek Vera Wang tux—before throwing her arms around him for a first dance to Etta James’ classic, “At Last.” Big thanks to Motley Melange for photos that perfectly capture the “Old Hollywood” glamour of this gorgeous Houston wedding—and BIG congratulations to the newlyweds!
Though they met in high school in 2001, Nancy and Matthew didn’t connect until a chance Facebook “happy birthday” greeting a decade later. “She asked me what I had been up to all those years,” recounts Matthew. “I didn’t feel like typing out my whole life, so I asked her to lunch instead.” That lunch lasted five hours; two and half years later, the couple celebrated their lifelong vows with an “enchanted-forest”-theme wedding, where 330 guests dined and danced the night away—but not before being treated to a concept video, screened before the pair’s reception entrance, that cast them as CIA agents with one last mission to accomplish before they could get married. “At the end of the video, there was a caption that read, ‘Will they make it on time?’” says Matthew. “That’s when our emcee introduced us and we heard the crowd yelling as we walked in. It set the tone for what turned out to be the most perfect night ever.” Big thanks to Weddings in Houston fave Sarah Ainsworth Photography for capturing that perfection in equally perfect pix.
When Allison entered their room at Hotel Granduca on the eve of Cinco de Mayo and found hundreds of rose petals and candles everywhere, she actually wondered if she was in the wrong room. But when Ty took her by the hand and got down on one knee, she knew she was in exactly the right place. One year later, the pair celebrated their nuptials with a timeless reception at Hotel ZaZa, done up in classic shades of black, white and soft blush pink by Events in Bloom. Lovely in her Vera Wang gown, with hair and makeup by The Perfect Face, Allison danced the night away with her handsome groom—and 250 of their nearest and dearest—in a one-for-the-ages Houston wedding that has captured our hearts. Big thanks to Pink Posh Photography for the pretty pix, and big congrats to this sweet, smitten Houston couple!
