Red, Black and Gold Winter Wedding at the Magnolia Hotel by DC Stanley Photography

Wednesday, December 17th, 2014

How’s THIS for a proposal story? “It was a night of reliving ‘firsts’—a Rockets game (our first official meeting), dinner at Vic & Anthony’s (our first official date), drinks at Hotel Zaza…,” says bride Brie Anna. “On a balcony overlooking the Museum District, he surprised me with a hand-drawn charcoal portrait of the two of us. The entire portrait was black and white, EXCEPT for a canary-yellow diamond engagement ring placed on my ring finger within the picture. My eyes were instantly drawn to the yellow image and I turned to find Craig down on one knee!” The couple’s December wedding, with its Catholic church ceremony and “lounge-feel” Magnolia Hotel reception—“NO traditional seating—cocktail-style vignettes and comfortable couches,” the bride recounts—captured the festiveness of the season, as did the surprise “flash mob” organized for the groom! Congratulations to the happy couple, and thanks to DC Stanley Photography for the fantastic photos of the fabulous winter wedding.

If you fell helplessly in love with this ridiculously gorgeous couple’s retro-chic engagement shoot by Civic Photos, just wait until you see their wedding! Houston bride Kristy and her groom Desmond wanted to give their guests a glimpse of what it would be like to attend a romantic wedding in a French chateau and, “Chateau Polonez provided the perfect ambiance,” she says. Ivory, Fuchsia and Navy Wedding at The Sam Houston Hotel

Tuesday, November 25th, 2014

After a slew of online dating disappointments, Imly decided to give it one more shot and emailed Jesse on Match.com. And boy, is she glad she did. Jesse declared his love for Imly on one knee at the top of a mountain during a snowboarding trip in Keystone, Colo., and the rest was history. The pair wanted their downtown Houston rooftop wedding at The Sam Houston Hotel to be fun and as relaxing as possible for their guests–but still super stylish and chic.  Their palette of ivory, fuchsia, blush pink and navy carried through the cake, decor, flowers and wedding party attire–even the bride’s style: Imly went from a drop-waist ivory dress for the ceremony, to a blush-pink sweetheart-neck gown for the reception, to a flirty, short lace dress for the after-party. We could go on and on about Imly and Jesse’s wedding, but we want YOU to see it for yourself. Check out the pics for all the sweet deets.  Congrats and well wishes to the newlyweds!

Relaxed, Romantic Country Style Wedding

Friday, November 21st, 2014

Randall knew that the key to Astra’s heart was good food…though a pretty ring couldn’t hurt. After his sweet dinner proposal, the two lovebirds planned for an intimate wedding with 50 of their nearest and dearest. Perfectly personal details like DIY centerpieces, feminine touches of lace, splashes of pink, Mom’s precious pearls and some good ‘ol BBQ, reflected Astra’s laid-back, relaxed personality. And y’all know how we feel about cowboy boots on the b’maids. Congratulations, you two–wishing you a lifetime of love! Hot Pink & Black Wedding at Ashelynn Manor by A Lifetime of Memories Photography

Thursday, November 20th, 2014

It was one of those hot summer days in Lake Conroe when Megan and Joey first met, though it wasn’t until two years later when their paths crossed again. They’ve been inseparable ever since. Joey planned a sweet surprise proposal during their romantic vacation in Aruba while taking a stroll on the beach. “It was utterly romantic and a moment that I will never forget,” says bride Megan.  The pair celebrated their wedding with 250 of their nearest and dearest at picturesque  Ashelynn Manor, bringing in splashes of hot pink and chic black accents, to give the entire affair a glamorous edge. “I couldn’t imagine my dream wedding being anymore perfect than it was,” the bride says. “I married my best friend and can’t wait to see what our life journey has in store for us.” Thanks to A Lifetime of Memories Photography for the lovely photos and happiest wishes to the newlyweds!
