Kailyn met Aaron at Camp Ozark in Mt. Ida, Arkansas, where they both worked in the summer of 2017. At first, she wasn’t interested in his confident charm, but as the summer went on and he playfully pursued her, her feelings began to change. Their connection deepened through late-night calls, bridging the miles between her time in Baton Rouge and Aaron’s new job in Austin.
After more than four years of dating, Aaron surprised her with a heartfelt surprise proposal with a “Christmas photoshoot” ruse during Christmas 2022 in Kailyn’s hometown, with both families in attendance. Their wedding day was a vibrant celebration at The Bell Tower on 34th in Houston. The ceremony took place against the picturesque Waterwall, followed by a cocktail hour and a lively reception in the two main ballrooms, featuring a palette of blue, yellow, and orange pastels with ivory. The ceremony began with live music by Scott Graham Piano, as Kailyn gracefully walked down the aisle.
To honor Kailyn’s Louisiana roots, they incorporated colorful Mardi Gras dance props that added a festive touch to the celebration. As the DJ played “Mambo No. 5,” Kailyn and Aaron joyfully tossed beads to their guests. A playful groom’s cake in the shape of a pickleball court highlighted Aaron’s pickleball league. After their unforgettable celebration, Kailyn and Aaron set off for their honeymoon in Thailand, eager to create lasting memories as newlyweds.
