Weekly Wedding Buzz 25
Wedding Buzz from Weddings in Houston
First off, a big, huge Wedding Buzz thanks to the incredible wedding experts and wonderfully enthusiastic brides-to-be who made this past weekend’s Before You Say … “I Do!” bridal soiree the best—and we do mean the BEST—we’ve ever had. We’re busy buzzing through the soiree’s fabulous photos and video footage, picking out our faves and jotting down our raves, and will be giving you a link to the full show wrap VERY SOON, so stay tuned.
In the meanwhile, check out the rest of this week’s Buzz. You’ll find Houston floral geniuses, bright-hued wedding shoes (so hot this season) and a wedding-planning primer you newly engaged gals won’t want to miss. Also: A wow-worthy Vietnamese-American wedding with a Houston bridal-fashion connection.
So relax and read up, and when you’re done buzzing through the Buzz, take a moment to tell us what you think by emailing info@weddingsinhouston.com. And happy planning, Houston bride!

For most brides, a white or off-white gown is a wedding must. But when it comes to shoes, why not put a fashionable twist on tradition? There’s nothing more exciting than a little glimpse of lilac or hot pink or sunshine-yellow peeking out from under your pristine hem.
This blog post features some of our most coveted bright-hued bridal shoes. Check it out!

The world is full of ridiculously cute place card holders…but most of them have zero use beyond the big day, and, as such, end up discarded soon after. Not very romantic, is it?
Instead of guiding guests to their tables with future landfill fodder, use place card holders that are a little more, well, useful. We suggest such alternatives as elegant silver picture frames, or handy (and chic) luggage tags—especially nice for destination weddings or weddings with lots of out-of-town guests.
Also among our favorites are votive place card holders, such as these lovely silver doves, which can be refilled with new candles and, like new husbands and beloved wedding guests, cherished forever and ever. |

Floral tends to be one of the heftiest line items in most wedding budgets. If you’re going to spend on gorgeous wedding flowers, make sure you get your money’s worth by selecting the right floral designer (and team) to transform your fantasy into dewy, living, lavishly arranged reality.
And remember, you don’t just want a brilliant floral artiste (although talent is extremely important)—you also want a professional who’s going to deliver exactly what he or she promises, on time and in perfect wedding-day condition.
Our florist listings are a guide to Houston’s most capable, creative and esteemed floral experts. Start your floral search here, for the freshest picks in town. |
