David and I had dated for four years when he proposed to me on October 8, 2006 in New York. He planned a three-day surprise for me with the proposal theme being "Message in a Bottle". He filled the bath tub with water and calla lillies (my favorite flowers) and put a wine bottle afloat the water while I was asleep. I awoke to this surprise and inside the bottle was a poem written on a mock ancient scroll. And as I kept unscrolling the paper, the words hit me...and there he was on one knee with the ring asking me to be his wife. We both attended the same high school, Jersey Village. However, we did not meet until our early 20's through mutual friends. We were on a snowboarding trip in Vail, CO. We both felt an immediate attraction together, but none of us had the nerves to talk to each other. It was not until we got back to Houston that we started talking to each other. Stephanie had to force Amanda to call Rock because Amanda was too shy. Our first date was at Pappasito's Restaurant, and of course it started 2 hours late. We have not left each others side since January 26, 2003.

Steve proposed to me on July 18, 2007, right before we left for a family cruise. We actually met back in October 2001 as members of a wedding party. Even though we have several mutual friends, we never met until the wedding rehearsal of our friends Christina and Damon. Steve kept asking Damon about the person that he was going to walk with at the wedding. His shy side kicked in when we actually met for the first time. He even tried to drag me down the aisle during the rehearsal and wedding. LOL!

After assuring him that did not have to walk so fast, he was ok. He didn't actually warm up until I grabbed his hand and pulled him out on the dance floor at the reception.......and the rest in history.

We're engaged!!!! We got engaged on December 22, 2008. We are now planning our wedding. We hope to find the right place to have it very soon. We are also planning an engagement party sometime in March and more information will follow soon. We hope that everyone will be able to join us at our big formal event! William proposed to Renee May 7, 2007 during their cruise in the Carribbean.
We met in 2002 at college in our Soil Science class, where I was the only girl in the class. He asked me to dinner and a movie and five years later he we are. He surprised me with the cruise trip on our fourth anniversary, and planned the proposal for the cruise. We got all dressed up, he in his tux and me in my gown, for the formal night on the cruise. We headed down for pictures and dinner. During the pictures he all the sudden went down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was surprised! I said yes! Of coarse, the photographer got all the action in pictures, which are funny to go back and look at now. Our wedding will be October 19, 2008 our six year anniversary!

It was a normal Wednesday evening and I was visiting Tyler at his apartment. We were researching rental properties online for us to move in with each other. Suddenly, Tyler disappears into another room then comes back with a watch box, he hands it to me and inside was a RB box. In my surprise I say, no way, then he asked; "Will you be my wife"...I asked (are you going to get on your knee)? So he knelt down and asked will you marry me? I was so happy and could not believe oh and of course I said yes!! July 12, 2008 is our date!

HOW IT HAPPENED

It was Christmas Eve and I knew something was up. My mom was getting the whole family in the living room for a surprise and I was thinking to myself what surprise. Then she tells me to sit on the couch. She gets my uncle and my cousin ready with the video camera. I knew something was up but couldn’t quite figure it out ,then when I see Evan coming down the stairs and everyone is watching him. I knew it right then and there it was about to happen. He walked up to me with a Christmas ornament the ring was attached to the ornament and he got one knee. I kind of went into shock and was so over joy that I couldn’t even remember what he said the only thing I remember was the part when he asked me to marry him. It was so emotional I started crying and having my closest family witness it just made the moment more special. My mom was smart in getting the proposal video taped I am so glad she did it because now I will always have that beautiful memory.

I will be Christina Goel in 8 months. Eric proposed to me June 28, 2007. We are planning our wedding in San Antonio, March 2008. We are so excited.

Blake proposed on our three year anniversary. We were short on ideas of things to do so we decided to do the normal dinner on the river walk.

Blake met me at my office and we drove down town. I suggested we exchange gifts before dinner, because I knew Blake wanted his gift, I can’t keep secrets and always tell him his gifts beforehand. I handed him a box which held two pairs of shoes. We are romantic, promise, but I had no clue what to get him and who can't use a new pair of shoes?

He handed me a box which I immediately knew it was something from James Avery because of the small orange wrapped box. I opened to find a dachshund charm and was thrilled. We have two miniature dachshunds that we adore.

I turned slightly to lay the box on the table so I could stand up and give Blake a hug but as I turned back around he was dropping to one knee. I was so surprised. It was a perfect surprise.

We are planning a November 10, 2007 wedding at First Baptist Church, Boerne, Texas with a reception following at Fair Oaks Ranch Country Club.

We are happy to announce that we are getting married November 17, 2007. He proposed at the Tower of Americas on December 1st, 2006. We have been together for over six years and are more in love every day. We will say our vows at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and our reception will be at the Pearl Stable.

Joe and I met in 2003.After becoming really good friends I moved to San Antonio from McAllen on Halloween 2004. Joe proposed on Christmas Day 2006 in front of his family and on one knee.

My ring from Tiffany's is absolutly amazing- that I had to say YES! We will marry at the Mission San Jose on Dec. 29, 2007 and celebrate after with all of family and friends at the San Fernando AT&T Community Centre.

Beau proposed to Lauren on June 28, 2007 in Central Park during their vacation to New York City. He proposed in front of Bethesda Fountain next to the Lake and Boathouse cafe. They are planning their wedding for next June in San Antonio. Lauren grew up in San Antonio with her parents Paul and Diane Doege and sister Meghan. Beau is from Amarillo, Tx where he grew up with his parents Randy and Debby Burkett and sister Shelby. Lauren's Matron of Honor is her sister Meghan Doege and Beau's Best Man is his longtime childhood friend Tyson Mooring.

Faith and John were engaged on John's birthday - October 27th, 2006. They also share the day with John's favorite team, the St. Louis Cardnials, who won the World Series less than an hour after he proposed.

Faith and John met 5 years ago while working together at Dave and Buster's. Both have moved on to other jobs since then. Faith is currently a Human Capital Specialist with the Univerisity of Texas at San Antonio, and John is a technician with Time Warner Cable. They have been together now for almost 4 years.

The happy couple is planning their wedding for September 15, 2007 in San Antonio.

During Christmas break Joey flew me up to Virginia (where he lives). Two days before Christmas he took me to an upscale seafood restraunt where we had a romantic dinner. Later in the evening we walked around a park. We sat down on a bench and he pulled out a memory box I had given him for keepsakes. In it contained all the things we had collected together . He went through each memory, remembering all the small details. When he got to the bottom of the box he pulled out a key I had given him that represented the key to my heart. On the key was a string with a diamond ring tied to it. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the best surprise ever! We are getting married October 6, 2007.

Sven and Joanetta met in the fall of 2006 when Sven arrive to work for a Norwegian oil company in Houston TX as Naval Architect. The first time they met they knew they were meant to be together forever. Sven and Joanetta got engaged on Valentines Day and celebrated with family and friends. The couple will wed in Oslo Norway on July 22, 2007 and honeymoon in Bolsena Italy. They are so excited about their wedding day and will live in Houston.

We were engaged Labor day weeekend 2006 in the Frio River. We will be married on May 5, 2007...Cinco de Mayo in San Antonio,Texas!

On February 14th, 2007 (Valentine's Day), Michael Mangiapane popped "the question" to his beautiful girlfriend, Veronica Zavala. Unsurprisingly to everyone, she said "YES"! The couple have been happily dating for over 2 years. They are looking forward to a romantic San Antonio Wedding on May 10, 2008! Congratulations to this wonderful couple!!

After finally recovering from “the lost year”, James and Sheila got engaged on July 29, 2006. He proposed to me in front of my closest friends, but only after faking me out with a pair of diamond earrings first. (Nice, but not a ring. That came later.) Julie (my friend) was not amused.
We are planning an intimate wedding and reception for September 29th 2007. We’ll be taking a honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean the next day.

Matthew and April met at Ball High School in Galveston, Texas when they were 14. They were Freshmen in 1989 when they first started dating. Theirs is truly a love story to remember. April and her family moved to San Antonio a short year later. Though apart, they were inseperatable. Matthew began flying, riding and driving here regularly to see her. About six months later he started living with his Aunt in Cibolo to be near her. They continued dating until they were about 18. Distance seperated them once again. Life happened fast and about a year and a half ago they began dating again and are now happy to announce their engagement after being empty without each other for almost 15 years. They were brought toghether during Hurricane Rita. They decided to reunite one cold night in 2005 when Matthew, having nothing to lose not having April in his life, professed his love to her. You really don't know what you've got until it's gone! Given the opportunity to have her back, I am eternally grateful to her for her gift of love to me-Always and Forever.

Mark & I are teachers at seperate rural districts and happened to meet at a Hollywood Video store in our downtime during Summer 2006. Since then we have not spent more than a day apart. He proposed on December 28 with both sets of parents present at the Cheesecake factory. The ring was brought out on a slice of my favorite cheesecake with "Will you marry me?" written in chocolate. I was suspicious of that evening because everyone had brought their cameras for "family pictures"! We are planning our wedding for July 20, 2007 at the Margarite P. Parker Chapel at Trinity University, my alma mater. Our recpetion for family and friends will be held at the El Tropicano Hotel downtown. I look foward to getting married to Mark and being each others' one and only.

Priscilla & Stephen were engaged on September 29, 2006 in South Padre Island. They are both graduates of the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Priscilla has been an external affairs specialist for Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas for two years. Prior to working at Toyota, Priscilla worked for five years as an external affairs coordinator for the San Antonio Spurs. She earned a BA in Public Relations at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Stephen has served eight years as a firefighter for the San Antonio Fire Department and is currently lieutenant at FIre Station 25. He earned a BS in Computer Science at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Priscilla & Stephen plan to wed in San Antonio, Texas in December of 2007.

We have the Express-News and the owners of Azuca and Pasion to thank for our union. In a very unexpected way, each played a key role in setting the stage and the tone for love.

A few years after we had first met, we took on a joint project--to write an article for the newspaper spotlighting an up-and-coming restaurant, Pasion. This meant that together we would wine and dine and spend more time REALLY getting to know each other.

The outcome was exceptional!
We fell madly in love, learned A LOT about each other, went on fabulous dates, and a few months later received promotions!
