Perhaps you’re in need of a baker who can craft a groom’s cake in the shape of a Yamaha Waverunner FX Cruiser SHO. Maybe you’re on the hunt for a florist who can sculpt a peacock out of peonies, or a circa-1890 Texas dance hall to host your country-chic reception. Whatever wedding expertise you seek, you’ll find it at Weddings in Houston online. And now it’s way easier to search for the wedding stuff you need most. Our Houston Wedding Professionals page has vendors organized in the exact same sections you’ll find in your beloved Weddings in Houston print issue. From Wedding Planning (Wedding Consultants, Ceremonies + Receptions, Guest Accommodations) to Finer Details (Caterers, Florists, Lighting + Sound) to Documenting the Day (Photography, Videography, Portrait Painting), we have every resource you can imagine—and some you’ve never, even in your wildest wedding dreams. Take a look around, and click a link or two. We know you’ll find what you’re looking for. And maybe a few things you never realized you’d love.

Emerald Pretty

In case you’re wondering why Kim K.’s ring cost a whopping $2 mil, we’ll school ya: It’s all about that emerald-cut ROCK. Round-cut diamonds, while classic favorites for engagement rings, are way more forgiving when it comes to showing small imperfections. The emerald cut, meanwhile, with fewer facets—notice those long, lean lines—is much more likely to show less-than-perfect qualities of clarity and color. Combing Kim’s 20.5 carats (did your heart just flip-flop a little there?) with that edgy emerald cut, and you’re talking major, major diamond. While Ms. K.’s ring may be a bit…ostentatious, shall we say, for most brides, you can take a cue from her cut when you select your own engagement stone. Just check out these styles for a spark(le) of inspiration before you contact your Houston jeweler!
