Welcoming Guests
Written by: Sarah Campbell
An invitation peeking out of the mailbox is a prelude of things to come. As out-of-town invitees make travel plans, make their visit memorable with a little planning.
Locate several convenient hotels or inns in a number of price ranges to give your guests options to suit their needs. Most hotels and inns have special wedding package rates for the number of rooms that you can guarantee.
Arrange for transportation from the airport or ceremony and reception so guests will not have to navigate their way in a strange town and greet guests at the hotel with gift baskets or bags of local treats with a hand written welcoming note.
If it is a weekend wedding, arrange special outings or a brunch on the day after the wedding.
These touches will go a long way in making your guests feel welcome and thank them for the effort they’ve made to be a part of your special day.
